Vishnu possessing the form Varaha, a licentious boar. Shiva tells Varaha the
purpose for which this form was taken has been fulfilled namely bringing back
earth to her former position. Varaha has amorous relationship with Prthvi
during Her menstural cycle. Three sons Suvrata, Kanaka and Ghora were born out
of this relationship, who plundered everything everywhere creating misery for

Note: Chapter 29 and 30 must be listened together
Brief: The Gods headed by Indra pray to Vishnu to alleviate
the pain caused by Varaha. Vishnu tells the Gods that He has to give up His
YagnaVaraha form but cannot do so on His own because of attachment to pleasures
and that Shiva needs to help and Brahma needs to infuse Shiva with all the
power needed. All the Gods infuse their energy unto Shiva, who then assumes the
form of Sharaba with 4 feet above and 4 feet below looking ferocious. A massive
fight ensues between Yagna Varaha and Sharaba along with their ganas. Narasimha
came to assist Varaha. Vishnu touches Sharaba and infuses more energy. From the
spray of foam from Sharaba’s mouth ganas emerge that are of various forms, some
looking pleasant and some violent looking ( this is described in detail ).
Sharaba cuts Narasimha into 2 parts – from the human part Sage Nara emerged and
from the lion part Narayana emerged. Yagna Varaha gets ready to give up His
body and tells Sharaba to kill Him and the various parts of His body represent the
various aspects of yagnas (sacrifices). Varaha also says that because of his
continued relationship with Prthvi, the embryo conceived by Prthvi will be
protected by Her (Prthvi), but when She (Prthvi) approaches You (Vishnu), you(Vishnu) can kill him. Shiva ganas
are described in detail (starts around 29:14 in the audio). Then Varaha is eliminated and merges with Hari. ( Note: This is how Narakasura was born and later killed by Vishnu in the form of Krishna ).

and part of all yagnas and how three different agnis came out of Suvrata,
Kanaka and Ghora.
Ch 32: 57 Verses: 9 minutes 19 seconds: Size: 9 MB
Brief: Description of the Fish Incarnation. Sage Kapila asks
Svaayambhuva Manu for a place to meditate; Manu belittles Sage Kapila, who in
turn curses that the entire world will get annihilated and destroyed. In order
to seek protection from this curse, Svaayambhuva Manu propitiates Lord Vishnu
by repeating the powerful mantra “Hiranyagarbha Purusha Pradhana Vyaktha Roopine; Om
Namo Vasudevaaya Shudhdha Gyana Svaroopine” - ( around 6:51 in audio ). Being pleased, Vishnu appears in
the form of a small fish and begs Manu to protect which Manu agrees to.

needs to build a boat and carry seeds, Vedas and the seven sages and He

everyone is afraid of looking at the sky and He needs to abandon the Sharaba
body, which He agreed to. The various limbs of Sharaba were discarded into the
water, sun, moon, etc; the middle portion became the powerful Maha Bhairava.
Ch 36: 52 Verses: 9 minutes 12 seconds: Size: 8 MB
Brief: The sufferings of Prthvi are described. The rishis
ask Markandeya Maharishi about Naraka and how he turned to be a demon even
though born of Divine parents. Markandeya Maharishi explains that because the
relationship occurred during the menstrual periods of Prthvi, Brahma and the other Gods
feared that the child would be a demon and hence extended the pregnancy so a
child would not be born that soon. Meanwhile, Varaha and the three sons were
eliminated and Prthvi was in unbearable pain relating to pregnancy. Prthvi
takes refuge in Hari; He is pleased by Her prayers and tells Her the reason for
Her hard pregnancy. He also says that while the pregnancy would last a very
long time, She will no longer feel any pain or discomfort associated with it.
And in the middle of Treta Yuga, when Ravana will be killed by Rama, Prthvi’s
son would be born.
Please proceed to Part 3.
