Muka Panchashati Mandasmita Shatakam Audio

At the link http://www.kamakoti.org/peeth/origin.html#appendix2 , one can learn more about Mooka Kavi. Here we deal with the second set of 100 verses entitled Mandasmita Shatakam. This is set in the Sanksrit metre Shardoolavikreeditam.  The correction to the metre was pointed out by a visitor by the name of Indu; deeply thankful for pointing this out. This is an absolutely fabulous metre. The sequence will be TRRrr RrRrrrR RRrRRrR  / TRRrr RrRrrrR RRrRRrR. As before, even if the meaning is not understood, just the flow of words will elevate the listener or reciter to high levels of joy.

The inspiration to recite this phenomenal stotram came about from reading an article that dealt with an upanyasam of Sri Kanchi Maha Periyava, wherein He had praised the Muka Panchashati.

This is a long hymn. In the entire set of Muka Panchashati, having recorded in a factory environment with the need to stop and re-start to avoid noises such as telephones and fax machine rings getting recorded, the pitch may not be uniform throughout – please accept sincere apologies.

Verse 9/1^st   line: Audio should be “Manjusthe” NOT “Munjusthe”
Verse 11/2^nd   line: Audio should be “Pruthim” instead of “Prutheem”.
Verse 59/1^st   line: Audio should be “Veechee” instead of “Vaachee”.
Verse 81/4^th   line: Audio should be “Leecharyai” instead of “Leeyarchai”.
Verse 84/4^th   line: Audio should be “Bhoomi” instead of “Bhoobi”.
Verse 90/4^th  line: Audio should be “Maso” instead of “Samo”.
Verse 94/3^rd   line: Audio should be “Malai” instead of “Male”.
