Bhagavad Geeta Full Audio

One of the greatest texts of all time is the Srimad Bhagavad Geeta. As one may know, here Sri Krishna gives the greatest upadesha ( instruction ) to Sri Arjuna. Numerous treatises have been written explaining this Great Instruction. One of the best ones I have come across is by Sri Mukundananda. It can be found at: here.

One’s mind simply melts as one studies the Gita. It will move the heart and fill it with bliss. As one travels in this earthly plane and faces difficult choices to be made in life and numerous difficulties along the way, the Upadesha that Sri Krishna gave to Sri Arjuna definitely will prove useful as a guiding star. It was felt that this blog would not be complete without a rendering of this Upadesha.

The two verses from Chapter 5 – verse 8 and verse 9 are my favorites. You can find their explanation in the link above. Essentially, when one relinquishes “doership” of “any” action, then the results of that action do NOT matter. These two verses have shaped my thinking as I get older and have faced rejections, failures, obstacles and have traveled on roads leading to nowhere. This is God’s Universe; we humans do not own anything, including the shell of our bodies or the instruments of senses. Relax and let the Divine, the real Master re-claim ownership.

There is very little I can add to this. A Homam was done in the backyard of our home on May 20, 2018 offering the entire Bhagavad Geeta.
