Parashurama Sahasranamam Audio

At the request of Shri Sameer Kothari, a visitor to this blog, here is the thousand name hymn for Lord Parashurama, entitled Parashurama Sahasranama Stotram. This is quite a powerful hymn and the listener or reciter is warned not to use it for bad purposes because then it will backfire. Always use for good purposes and goodwill and the merit accrued will take one to higher planes of divinity. The Sanskrit lyrics used for this recitation are also given following the link to the audio. Tamil transliteration link for the lyrics is also given.

An interesting incident in conjunction with this: Currently parayanam (recital) of Sri Brahmanda Puranam is being conducted in the house. Believe it or not, as progress in the recording of this audio was going on, two days from now, the Brahmanda Puranam starts a series of chapters dealing with Parashurama Charitram, which is the series of historical perspectives connected with Lord Parashurama authored by Shree Veda Vyasa Maharishi. It was felt that the Divinities wanted the recitation of the Parashurama Sahasranama to be completed first and the Charitram is the gift ! The mind got filled with bliss as an unknown connection seems to have been established; thanks to Shree Kothari.

For those that do not have time, one could also recite the 12-name hymn of Lord Parashurama, called “Shree Parashurama Dvadasha Naamaani” the audio for which is also give towards the bottom of this post which is only 38 seconds long. This is actually embedded in the Sahasranamam Stotram.
