Goddess Kakini Devi is the Presiding Shakthi of the Anahata Chakra. The Sahasranama Stotram that is being shared here is the thousand name hymn for Kakini Devi. The Anahata Chakra is the seat of powerful emotions. The shloka set from 7 minutes 40 seconds to 9:00 minutes fills one with the feeling of the tremendous power of the Goddess. Approximately 10 minutes into the hymn, the Great Rishis are invoked. From 36 minutes 16 seconds up to about 39 minutes, which correspond to verses 207 to 214, the hymn is set to the beautiful Prithvi metre – the audio presentation here deals with this metre in somewhat of a unique fashion. This is a beautiful hymn and hope the listener can eventually be able to recite by themselves and enjoy the bliss offered. This is a long hymn.
