Muka Panchashati Padaravinda Shatakam Audio

The picture on top of this post is also taken from that site – credit goes to them – this is a photo of Sri Muka Sankaraendra Sarasvati Swamigal, the author of Muka Panchasati; He was appointed as the Acharya of Kamakoti Peetam long time ago.  Here we deal with the third set of 100 verses entitled Padaravinda Shatakam. This is set in the Sanksrit metre Shikarini. Here one has to club together five syllables in the middle of the line in order to recite rhythmically. As before, even if the meaning is not understood, just the flow of words will elevate the listener or reciter to high levels of joy.

The inspiration to recite this phenomenal stotram came about from reading an article that dealt with an upanyasam of Sri Kanchi Maha Periyava, wherein He had praised the Muka Panchashati. This is a long hymn.

Verse 71/1^st   line: Audio should be “Maraalaanam” NOT “Suraalaanam”
Verse 98/1^st   line: Audio should be “Kakubha” instead of “Kukubha”.
