Goddess Pratyangira Devi is a very powerful deity and should
be worshipped with love, devotion and appropriate positive posture to get
protection for oneself from negative forces. She is the One that calmed Sri
Narasimha after He had destroyed the demon Hiranyakashipu to save Prahlada. The
Sahasranama Stotram that is being shared here is the thousand name hymn for Pratyangira
Devi. This is a powerful hymn and includes the “phala sruthi” at the end. This
is a beautiful hymn and hope the listener can eventually be able to recite by
themselves and enjoy the bliss offered. This is a long hymn.
And now the audio: 30 minutes and 42 seconds long.

NOTE: BECAUSE THIS IS A VERY LARGE FILE ABOUT 28 MEGABYTES, YOU WILL HAVE TO DOWNLOAD AND THEN LISTEN. On mobile devices and some computers, you may get the message -- This file is too large for Google to scan, download anyway? -- You will have to answer "YES" and then listen after download. On some computers, when you hit the play button, if nothing seems to happen, click the Download arrow at the top, click download anyway and then listen. Sorry for the inconvenience -- but this is a big file and praise to Sri Pratyangira Devi -- Her Grace is magnificent !

Om Shree Pratyangira Devi Namo Namaha !
Could you post meaning of phala śruti of Pratyangira Sahasranamam?
ReplyDeleteNamaste !
DeleteThank you for the visit. Here is a partial list of the benefits as recited in the phala sruti:
One of the benefits is a poor person becomes wealthy (v2).
A mute one regains speech and a diseased one becomes disease free; a childless one begets a child (v3).
One becomes free of worries (v7).
One’s children get protected and a woman who is pregnant gets her fetus protected (v19).
A devotee of Sri Pratyangira Devi gets the siddhis of attracting people, etc. (v20). One gets the darshan of knowledgeable pandits (v24).
This is a powerful hymn and hence should not be shared with people that have no faith. (v 26).
Om Shakthi !
Thank you for posting the meaning of this stotram, hope God bless you😇😇. Om Santih, Santih, Santih, Om
DeleteSir this is not 1000 names these are 928 names , where is other names ?
ReplyDeleteNamaste Shri Sahil Nav:
DeleteThank you for your visit. After your comment, the lyrics was re-checked and found to contain EXACTLY 1,000 names; not one more or less. Additionally, the audio was re-checked against the lyrics and found to be perfect. Please note that there is quite a bit of Sandhi involved in the lyrics which will lead to the 1,000 number. Anyway, because of your comment, there was additional merits accrued by re-studying and re-listening to this wonderful hymn. May Goddess Pratyangira Devi bless you !!!
where do you get the yantra which is embedded in the Pratiyangara devi photo
ReplyDeleteSir: I don't know. May be you can ask the priests in Pratyangira Devi temples in India and elsewhere for guidance. Sorry for my inability.
DeleteDear Author of this website: How can you affirm that the sahasranama stotra of PratyangirA devi is authentic?
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the Matangi Sahasranama stotra which is said to be taken from NAnavadya Tantra? It is 98% same as this Hymn. Hence, only one can be said to be authentic and the other one can be said to be copied with little modification.
I have stopped reading Matangi Sahasranama stotra as this doesn't conform to my belief.
Kindly share your opinion.
Regards.
Nobody until now has tried to answer my question about this Hymn. I had noticed and commented that this Hymn is almost identical to Matangi sahasranama. My question is, How can Matangi which is completely different Diety have almost same 1000 name hymn? Thus, one of the Hymn is just copied from the other and cant be considered original.
ReplyDeleteRegards.
Namaste Unknown: Your two comments are well received.
DeleteThe immediate short answer is: I have no clue.
The longer correct answer is: it will take a lifetime to answer your question. Nevertheless, I will attempt here in EXTREME brevity.
"Who copied What from Who and When is of no consequence. All is from the one primordial timeless, bodiless 'Om'. That's all that exists."
